Not always only beginners are faced with the problem when it becomes difficult to feel the dimensions of their own car. However, you need to learn to feel your car, because your safety and the safety of those around you depend on it. What to do? We tried to figure it out.
“Draw” a garage
In fact, we set the flags according to the size of the parking space. Choose a place where you will not disturb other motorists. Once you have delineated the area, you can begin the practice of entering a small space. Your goal is unhooked flags or cones, while you must manage to stand so that in a confined space you can safely open the door and get out of the car.
Slowly but surely
The next exercise can also be considered super effective: we need some empty cardboard boxes. We install them on the road and try to drive as close as possible, but so as not to touch them with the bumper. For ease of use while driving, look at the antenna on the hood to see where the approximate border of the car is.
We also need a lot of free space here. With chalk, draw a border on the asphalt at the level of the wheels. Next, stick the transparent tape on the windshield in the same place above the level of the wheels. This way, you will have a rough idea of where your wheels are located, which will help you avoid trouble in an unfamiliar parking lot. After a few weeks, you will be able to navigate freely without scotch tape prompts.
For this exercise, you need to find an empty road with markings or draw a line yourself in a place where there are no cars. Look through the windshield towards the road – you should see a line several meters
away. Next, you lay out a longboard on the strip: you must drive on it with both right wheels. As a rule, after a few days of training, the driver begins to feel the distance between the wheel and the curb.
